These projects are either made for private or personal use. Or for the sake of learning and improving my ability as a developer and programmer. I have documented my journey and findings for each project, on their respective pages.
I started making my own projects in 2024, after i finished my education as a Datamatiker (Computer scientist) at EAAA (Erhvervsakademiet Aarhus) after the summer. The projects where worked on at different times and sometimes at the same time.
The first project I worked on after completing my education was inspired by an idea from my dad. Being very technical himself: he manages his own server, domain, and mail server. This project focused on the mail server, which not only handles email for every member of our family but also logs every lookup request it receives.
My dad wanted to display these logs in a better way then reading through a large text-file. Many of the logs where also irrelevant since my dad just wanted to know:
This could be used to monitor and track where the person was at that time. And also look for shady requests from unknown locations.
This project stemmed from another request from my family. The initial idea was to create a system that displays everyone’s calendars on the living room TV during the day.
The purpose was to provide a quick and convenient way for family members to see each other's schedules—whether someone had a meeting, was available, or would be home for dinner that evening. It’s a simple yet effective way to keep everyone on the same page.
Another desire for the displayer, was to make it periodically show different images from the server.
Working on game-development has always been a big dream of mine despite how much work goes into making a game on both the design and mechanical side. I have actually worked on making game-engines multiple times through out my education.
The goal was typically to start making a game in each programming language at the time. This was a way for me to better learn the language and what is required for a game-engine. I will likely write about these game-engine projects later.
